Radiesse
Radiesse is is a dermal filler comprised of calcium hydroxylapatatite (CaHA) particles suspended in a hyaluronic acid gel. Radiesse is used to treat the appearance of deeper wrinkles and creases, for example along the nasolabial folds, smile lines and wrinkles around the nose and mouth. Acne scars may also be treated with Radiesse to fill in depressions caused by scarring or to contour the face.
Radiesse is injected into the treatment area following the application of a topical anesthetic. It is a non-surgical procedure and can be performed quickly and easily. There is some swelling and bruising around the injected area for a few days but normal routines can be resumed quickly. The treatment lasts around 18-24 months.
