Laser Skin Pigmentation Treatment

These are skin blemishes, commonly known as age spots, sun spots, liver spots or freckles, associated with aging and over exposure to the sun. They range in colour from light brown to red or black and are located in areas most often exposed to direct sunlight, such as the hands, face, shoulders, arms and forehead. It is important to note that though often called liver spots, they have no actually association with the human liver.

Treatment of these skin blemishes can be achieved through laser technology. Laser treatment of the effected areas can be quick and efficient and typically only one session is needed to remove these types of skin blemishes. A typical treatment session lasts between 5 and 30 minutes, showing just how quickly this procedure can be done.

There is typically some minor discomfort, but it is no more than a stinging sensation on the skin of the treated area and there are anaesthetic creams to soothe this. Once the procedure is complete the skin may darken in the treated area in the next few days, and then the dead skin will flake of leaving the area clear of all blemishes.
