Laser Rosacea Treatment

Before and after

Rosacea is a skin condition affecting the facial area by causing persistent redness over the cheeks, nose, chin and forehead. Also referred to as acne Rosacea, the tiny blood vessels in the facial area enlarge to become more and more visible through the skin. Subsequently pimples start developing in the affected areas.

This condition is estimated to affect over 45 million people worldwide and affects both males and females but is almost 3 times more common in women; however it is normally more severe in men. Obviously it can be very distressing for a person to live with Rosacea symptoms and many seek ways to remove the condition, such as laser therapy.

With state of the art laser treatment an effective therapy for Rosacea can be achieved.

Laser treatment for Rosacea takes about an hour and a typical suggested course of treatments would be 4–6 sessions, each session spaced 3 to 4 weeks apart. Recovery time is minimal, as is discomfort during the treatment, normally described as a stinging sensation on the skin, treatable with anaesthetic creams. There can be some tenderness after the treatment, and possible swelling, but this is temporary and tends to subside quickly.
