Laser Facial Veins Treatment

Before and after

Many people suffer from small spider-like dilated capillaries on the nose and cheek areas. These red or purple blood vessels are often called facial veins, or facial thread veins, though they are not actually veins at all. These facial veins are typically part of the aging process, but can be caused by over exposure to the sun, or from hereditary or family predisposition.

As they appear directly on the face many people with facial veins find them very unsightly and look for ways to remove them. One of the quickest and most effective methods is laser treatment.

Laser treatment works by delivering directed precision laser energy to the affected area. This causes the vein wall to collapse, sealing it shut. It is then absorbed into the body naturally over time, leaving the area clear.

A typical procedure lasts a mere 15 to 30 minutes, depending on the size of area to treat, and normally 2 treatment sessions will be needed. There is typically some minimal discomfort described normally as a mild stinging sensation with the treatment. Sometimes there is slight swelling and tenderness after treatment but this is only temporary and it is advised to avoid sunlight and use sunscreen post treatment.

After treatment the appearance of the facial veins will be completely eradicated, however there is the possibility of new veins developing in the future. In this case we would suggest further treatment if the necessity arises.
