Laresse
What is Laresse?
Laresse is an ultra-smooth, clear dermal filler gel. Unlike other fillers which contain hyaluronic acid or collagen, Laresse is made from absorbable medical polymers. It is composed of Carboxymethylcellulose (CMC) and polyethylene oxides (PEO) which are components safely used in other medical applications.
Thanks to the molecular structure of Laresse, your Cosmetic Clinics doctor can use a finer needle than he or she could do if injecting a different dermal filler. Side effects from dermal fillers tend to be very slight and the most noticeable reactions are to the needle itself. By using a finer needle, there is a smaller puncture point and better precision.
What is Laresse used for?
People who have laughter lines stretching down between their nose and their mouth often choose Laresse. Because Laresse is an easy-flowing gel that is easily dispensed, the positive effects of Laresse are immediately visible. Your experienced and qualified Cosmetic Clinics doctor may administer the treatment on one side of your face first to demonstrate the improvement before continuing.
Laresse is also used on patients who have found that either due to aging, stress or weight loss, their eyes have become ‘hollow’. Laresse uses a finer needle than its sister fillers so it is an ideal dermal filler to consider if you want to combat dark circles. As with most dermal fillers, Laresse lasts approximately 6 months because it gradually assimilates into your body with no harmful effects.
What will happen after my treatment?
Side effects may include some swelling and sometimes bruising which is easily covered with light make up. Theoretically, you can have Laresse injections over your lunch hour as there is little or no down time associated with it. However, many of our patients are happy to enjoy a relaxing afternoon off work after this beauty treatment.
