Advanced SmartLipo

Advanced SmartLipo is the next generation of the SmartLipo procedure. Like SmartLipo a small laser cannula is inserted into the skin to rupture and liquefy fat cells, but it uses a more powerful 10w laser as opposed to the normal 6w laser used in standard SmartLipo.

This extra strength in the laser means that a more powerful laser pulses can be directed to the treatment areas, speeding up the process and rupturing the fatty cells quicker. This in turn means a shorter procedure time and less bruising and minimal discomfort. Unlike SmartLipo where the liquefied fat is left to be absorbed in the body, Advanced SmartLipo utilises a small vacuum to aspirate the remaining fatty residue.

Treatment areas include the thighs, both inner and outer, upper arms, the abdomen, chin and the ever annoying “love handles”. Advanced SmartLipo results are evident immediately and results will continue to increase over the next 6 months as the skin tightens around the treated areas, shaping it to the new contours formed by the treatment.

As with SmartLipo the procedure can be done as a walk in and walk out procedure, meaning no hospital stay and minimal recovery time required. The recovery period is normally only a day or so and allows patients to return to work very quickly. After a few more days it is ok to resume light exercise as well, though it is recommended to have a week or two off before strenuous activities or exercises are resumed.

XP Lipo Laser

XP Laser Lipolysis, or Xtra Performance, is a revolutionary and minimally invasive procedure for the removal of fat. XP Laser Lipolysis is a laser body sculpturing procedure which uses a calibrated laser which liquefies the cells that contain fat.

These laser pulses destroy the fat cells by using a fine cannula which contains a laser fibre which is inserted into the skin. The laser energy causes the small blood vessels to liquefy immediately on contact; these deposits of liquefied fat are then removed by gentle suction, called aspiration.

The XP Lipo Laser is the same laser system used for the standard SmartLipo procedure; however the XP laser system is different in that it has a higher power output of up to 30W, compared with the 6w power used for smartlipo. With this increased power the XP Lipo Laser system can deliver greater amounts of laser energy, resulting in an increased amount of fat cells being ruptured in a shorter time, this lessens the length of time of the procedure contributing to less bruising and discomfort post operatively. Other positive effects include the laser energy interacting with the skin which causes it to tighten over the new body shape.

Areas treatable with the XP Lipo Laser laser include the chin, outer thighs, upper arms, inner thighs, abdomen and love handles. Results are typically visible immediately and will continue to improve over the following months. On average only one treatment is required per area, an average treatment session lasts about an hour, depending on the area to be treated.

Patients may experience minimal pain or bruising after the treatment but recovery is quick. Most patients can return to work the day after treatment, though this can depend on the physicality of your job.
